Principal
Erica Brown, M.Ed.
Mrs. Brown has served in public education since 2012. She began her career as a paraprofessional in Ferris ISD. She came to Waxahachie ISD in 2013 and started as a paraprofessional, then student teacher, kindergarten teacher, third grade teacher, and then became an Assistant Principal at Wedgeworth, Northside, and WHS, where she served before rejoining the Northside family.
Mrs. Brown holds a Bachelor's Degree from Texas A&M Commerce and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University. She has received “Best Teacher of Ellis County,” “Teacher of the Year,” and was a recipient of a grant for the first facility dog in WISD, Patches.
Erica and her husband, Jeremy, have three children: Madalynn, Jaxxon, and Emercyn.
I am incredibly grateful and deeply honored to serve as your principal. Northside holds a truly special place in my heart, and it feels like home. Serving students is not just my passion—it is my purpose. Each day, I am thankful for the amazing students and dedicated staff who make this school so special. I am eager to continue the incredible academic growth of our school, to truly know each student by name, and to lead with purpose as an instructional leader. Joining me on this journey is my facility dog, Patches, who is on campus with me each day. Patches is here to offer comfort and support, motivate students, and simply bring an extra sense of joy to our campus community. I would like to extend a special thank you to everyone I have had the pleasure of working with – for contributing to my growth, celebrating the joyful moments with me, and offering encouragement and support during the challenging times.

Assistant Principal
Glenn Napier, M.Ed.
Mr. Napier has served in public education with dedication and distinction since 2011. He has a wealth of experience across several Texas school districts, including Dallas, Duncanville, Irving, Grand Prairie, and Everman ISDs. Mr. Napier spent 12 years as a Social Studies Teacher before transitioning into administration, where he has served as an Assistant Principal for two years.
Beyond the classroom, Mr. Napier has held multiple leadership roles such as a Department Chair, Grade Level Lead, and a mentor for student teachers. His commitment to student growth extends to the field, where he has coached football, soccer, and track. Mr. Napier holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Miami University and a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas.
Mr. Napier and his wife, Monica, have been married since 2017 and have a son, Preston, in grade school.
I am eager to serve and work with all stakeholders within the Northside Elementary and Waxahachie ISD community.
